Matching capacity to the unit's actual bathroom count and household size avoids paying for more equipment than the space will ever use.
Access logistics on replacement day
Because many Southpoint residential buildings are multi-story, getting a new unit in and an old one out sometimes means navigating stairwells, elevators, or narrow hallways rather than walking straight through a garage door. That logistics question is worth thinking through before the appointment, particularly for larger tank capacities where the equipment itself is bulkier and heavier to maneuver through tight multifamily corridors.
Whatever the housing format, the fundamentals of a sound replacement stay the same: confirming what fuel and capacity are already in place, checking the condition of shutoffs and any expansion tank, and making sure the new installation meets current code expectations for discharge lines and, where required, a drain pan.
